Assen

Assen (population 60,297) is a town in the eastern Netherlands, in the province of Drente.

Assen's main claim to fame is the motorcycling circuit, where the TT race is annually run.

The municipality of Assen has an area of 89.00 km² (0.65 km² water), and includes the following towns: Anreep[?], De Haar[?], Graswijk[?], Loon, Rhee[?], Schieven[?], Ter Aard[?], Ubbena[?], Vries[?], Witten, Zeijen[?], Zeijerveen[?], Zeijerveld[?].
