Ark-La-Tex

The Ark-La-Tex is a US socio-economic region where Arkansas, Louisiana, Texas and McCurtain County, Oklahoma meet. The region is dominated by the Shreveport/Bossier metro-area where most of the media is located, although Marshall, Texas and Texarkana retain a large degree of autonomy. The region is famed for Caddo Lake[?], the American South's largest natural lake outside of Florida. Famous Arklatexans include; Maya Angelou[?], Terry Bradshaw, Bill Clinton, James L. Farmer[?] Lady Bird Johnson, and Trace Adkins[?].
