Anton de Bary

Heinrich Anton de Bary (1831-1888), German surgeon, botanist, microbiologist, and mycologist (fungal systematics and physiology), founding father of plant pathology (phytopathology). Professor at Strasbourg. He coined the term symbiosis. Teacher of Russian bacteriologist Winogradsky[?].
