Anselm J. McLaurin

Anselm Joseph McLaurin (March 26, 1848 - December 22, 1909) was a Mississippi politican. He was the first governor to be elected under the state Constitution of 1890 and served from 1896 to 1900. McLaurin was elected to the United States Senate as a Democrat in 1900, and re-elected in 1906; he died in office in 1909.
