Anna Wierzbicka

Anna Wierzbicka (b. 1938) was born in Poland and is a linguist at the Australian National University[?]. She is primarily known for her work in semantics, pragmatics, and cross-cultural linguistics[?] and especially for the Natural Semantic Metalanguage.
