Air 2000 began flying on April 11, 1987.
Soon, they became the first charter airline to introduce in flight meals and entertainment.
1992 was the year that Air 2000 was given a certificate to fly regularly scheduled passenger flights by the CAA, and in 1995, the airline faced management changes, resulting in the creation of a company named First Choice Holidays PLC.
