Agape feast

The Agape Feast was a daily love feast[?] celebrated in apostolic[?] times, as a variant of the Eucharist. It celebrated agape: the love of God. As class distinctions became set in the early church, the Agape Feast began to fall out of favor. Eventually the practice was completely eliminated by the church, although the communion remained.
