Ada Velez

Ada Velez is a Puerto Rican who lives in Miami and trains with women's boxing great former world champion Bonnie Canino.

Velez became the first Puerto Rican to win a women's world boxing championship.

In December 21 of 2002, she defended her IBA[?] world Bantamweight championship, beating Lakeysha Williams[?] by a decision in ten rounds in a ESPN televised bout.

Her current record is 12 wins, 1 loss and 1 draw, with seven knockout wins.
