Acomb, City of York

Acomb is a village in the unitary authority of City of York in the north of England, west of York, Yorkshire, south of Upper Poppleton and north of Bishopthorpe.

The village existed before the Norman Conquest and was the property of the Dean and Chapter of York Minster. There are two 15th century timber-framed houses here, and the village was made a Conservation Area in 1975. It is also an Area of Archaeological Importance[?].
