Abud Sarhan
Abud Sarhan, an Iraqi shepherd, is suing US Army General Franks and Secretary of Defense Rumsfeld; after 17 family members were killed during the 2003 invasion of Iraq; two missiles hit camp near Al-Altash[?] (also killing 200 sheep) on April 4. The first hearing is July 20, in Ramadi.
- Sarhan's lawyer Rabah al-Alwani[?] stated:
- "We believe they used excessive force[?]."
- Sarhan's wounded half-brother Hamad Sarhan[?] stated:
- "There were no military...only shepherds and their flocks."
