Mahmoud Abbas

Redirected from Abu Mazen

Mahmoud Abbas, commonly known as Abu Mazen (born 1935), is a member of Al Fatah and has been the Palestinian Prime Minister since March 19, 2003. He was chosen for this role by Yasser Arafat, a decision which some argue to have been the result of political pressure from the United States, and other members of the international community.
