List of 1970s movies

Movies in the 1970's came in a wide variety. Some of them reflected the changes of the new decade and portrayed the kind of music that was popular at that time. Others concentrated on feeding the futuristic imagination of some of that era's members of popular society. It could be said, however, that the 1970's at the movies are probably better remembered for the group of horror movie series that began during the decade. Steven Spielberg, one of the mot famous directors in Hollywood, directed his first major hit, Jaws, during that decade.
