Zottegem

Zottegem is a municipality located in the Belgian province of East Flanders. The municipality comprises the city of Zottegem proper and the towns of Elene[?], Erwetegem[?], Godveerdegem[?], Grotenberge[?], Leeuwergem[?], Oombergen[?], Sint-Goriks-Oudenhove[?], Sint-Maria-Oudenhove[?], Strijpen[?] and Velzeke-Ruddershove[?]. On January 1st, 2000 Zottegem had a total population of 24,574 (11,960 males and 12,614 females). The total area is 57.39 km² which gives a population density of 428.19 inhabitants per km².
