XDCC

XDCC refers to bots running iroffer (http://www.iroffer.org/) or similar, an IRC file sharing program. XDCC bots serve one or more usually large files for download.

Frequently, warez groups break into computers hosted on fast connections and install XDCC software. They then proceed to upload their warez and use the compromised computer to serve it to users. However, not all XDCC bots run on hacked computers.
