WWT National Wetlands Centre

WWT National Wetlands Centre is one of nine wetland reserves managed by the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust, a nature conservation charity. The 500 acre reserve is situated one mile east of Llanelli[?] and five miles north of Swansea in south Wales, on the eastern side of Carmarthen[?] Bay, and part of the Burry Inlet estuary which is an SSSI (Site of Special Scientific Interest), an SPA (Special Protection Area), and a Ramsar Site[?].

One of the endangered species protected at the centre is the Little Egret[?]. In winter, more than 60,000 birds return here to overwinter.
