World around

World-around is a term coined by Buckminster Fuller to replace worldwide. The current scientific view is that the earth is roughly a spheroid, so wide has no meaning when applied to the earth's surface. It has area and encloses a volume, but has no width. Fuller held that unthinking use of obsolete scientific ideas detracts from and misleads intuition. Sunsight[?] and sunclipse[?] are other neologisms that Fuller coined to replace sunrise and sunset in order to overturn the geocentric bias of most pre-Copernican celestial mechanics.
