Work design

In organizational development (OD), work design is the application of Socio-Technical Systems principles and techniques to the humanization of work.

The aims of work design:

  • improved job satisfaction
  • improved through-put
  • improved quality
  • reduced employee problems, e.g., grievances, absenteeism
