Woodland is a city located in Talbot County, Georgia. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 432.

Geography Woodland is located at 32°47'15" North, 84°33'40" West (32.787594, -84.561018)1.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 2.0 km² (0.8 mi²). 2.0 km² (0.8 mi²) of it is land and none of it is covered by water.

Demographics As of the census of 2000, there are 432 people, 181 households, and 131 families residing in the city. The population density is 211.1/km² (548.1/mi²). There are 201 housing units at an average density of 98.2/km² (255.0/mi²). The racial makeup of the city is 20.83% White, 77.78% African American, 0.23% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.46% from other races, and 0.69% from two or more races. 0.23% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There are 181 households out of which 22.7% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 38.7% are married couples living together, 28.7% have a female householder with no husband present, and 27.1% are non-families. 25.4% of all households are made up of individuals and 11.0% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.39 and the average family size is 2.81.

In the city the population is spread out with 20.6% under the age of 18, 8.3% from 18 to 24, 27.8% from 25 to 44, 25.9% from 45 to 64, and 17.4% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 41 years. For every 100 females there are 78.5 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 75.9 males.

The median income for a household in the city is $17,105, and the median income for a family is $19,792. Males have a median income of $24,107 versus $15,156 for females. The per capita income for the city is $10,466. 34.7% of the population and 32.6% of families are below the poverty line. Out of the total people living in poverty, 58.1% are under the age of 18 and 20.5% are 65 or older.
