Woodford is a place in London, England in the London Borough of Redbridge. Another well known settlement of this name is to be found in northern Cheshire close to the English city of Manchester. A factory airfield there originated with the Avro company and became a part of the British Aerospace consortium building military Nimrods and short range airliners such as the ATP and BAe146 "Whisperjet" before closure early in the Twenty-first Century.
