Geography According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 66.4 km² (25.6 mi²). 50.2 km² (19.4 mi²) of it is land and 16.3 km² (6.3 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 24.52% water.

Demographics As of the census of 2000, there are 749 people, 309 households, and 231 families residing in the township. The population density is 14.9/km² (38.7/mi²). There are 368 housing units at an average density of 7.3/km² (19.0/mi²). The racial makeup of the township is 97.20% White, 0.13% African American, 0.67% Native American, 0.13% Asian, 0.13% Pacific Islander, 0.53% from other races, and 1.20% from two or more races. 3.07% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There are 309 households out of which 24.6% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 64.4% are married couples living together, 5.8% have a female householder with no husband present, and 25.2% are non-families. 22.0% of all households are made up of individuals and 8.1% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older.
