Wishbone Ash

Wishbone Ash was a British heavy metal, formed in 1966 (see 1966 in music) as The Empty Vessels, then Tanglewood. The group settled on Wishbone Ash and soon began performing in England, including with Deep Purple. In 1970, the band released Wishbone Ash[?] to generally positive reviews and sales. A long series of albums were released in the 1970s, and multiple personnel changes followed. In spite of a rabid following, Wishbone Ash was never able to achieve widespread success. They have continued touring well into the 1990s.
