Wirehaired Pointing Griffon

The Wirehaired Pointing Griffon is a breed of dog. It is Dutch in origin, but is regarded as a French breed. This is due to the fact that a major portion of the development of the breed took place in France.

The Wirehaired Pointing Griffon is particularly adapted for swampy country, where its harsh coat is excellent protection.

The Wirehaired Pointing Griffon is an excellent swimmer and retriever.

Griffons are known as intelligent, extreemly eager to please, friendly dogs.
