In
computing WDM stands for
Windows Driver Model. It provides a framework for
device drivers[?] that operate under
Microsoft Windows 98/Me/Xp/2k and Server2003. WDM drivers are layered in a complex heirarchy and communicate with each other via IO Request Packets
IRPs.
WDM drivers usally support at least the follwing:
- Power Management
- Plug & Play
- Windows Management Instrumentation
