Willy Spühler

Willy Spühler (January 31, 1902 - May 31, 1990), Swiss politician.

He was elected to the Federal Council of Switzerland on December 17, 1959 and handed over office on January 31, 1970. He was affiliated to the Social Democratic Party of Switzerland. During his office time he held different departments:

  • Department of Posts and Railways (1960 - 1962)
  • Department of Transport, Communications and Energy (1963 - 1965)
  • Political Department (1966 - 1970)

He was president of Switzerland in 1975.
