William Raine Marshall

Willian Raine Marshall (October 17, 1825 to January 8, 1896) was an American politican. He was the 5th Governor of Minnesota from January 8, 1866 to January 9, 1870. He was a Republican. He served as a general in the 7th Minnesota Regiment during the Civil War (1861-65).

Marshall County, Minnesota was named after him.
