Uncle Ed's Tips for a Pleasant Editing Experience
- Signing in is better than posting anonymously: it gives you more clout and more respectability. It's easier for people to get to know you and how you think, because we can all rememeber "Clutch" (mnemonic: helps me shift gears) better than 63.xxx.xxx.xxx (IP address).
- The place to discuss changes is the Talk page connected to the article in question -- never try to "discuss" on the vandalism in progress page, which is really only for kids scrawling graffiti on pages.
- Serious disagreement gets hammered out, in what I'd like to think is a courteous and rational manner, on the talk pages. There's also an e-mail list. Take it slow, learn as you go.
