Wikipedia:Size of Wikipedia - 2002 archived data

This is an historical dataset for the size of Wikipedia, in its original tabular presentation, archived from Wikipedia:Size of Wikipedia, which now contains the most up-to-date data in a simpler format.

The figures below are for the year 2002:

key:

  • est: estimate
  • mpacIII: main page article count from the Phase III software
  • mpacII: main page article count from the Phase II software
  • spII: stats page article count from the Phase II software
  • all recent dates should be in Wikipedia server time, not user's local time

Note: The phase III software appears to give the same figure for pages on the main page and the stats pages: the phase II software used two different bases for the estimates, so the difference matters.
