Wikipedia:Mention of wiki in articles

Many Wikipedia articles mention wiki and the consensus decision making implied by the wiki article editing process. The mention of wiki in articles should be carefully differentiated from the mention of Wikipedia in articles, which is an entirely separate issue with special considerations.

This is an issue where systemic bias is particularly likely to occur, so please, do not make exaggerated claims about what the wiki process can do (make enemies into friends, save Earth, etc.). That will turn off new readers and the project will acquire a reputation as being run for and by the Wikipediholic.
