We seem to have a problem using footnotes in WikiPedia.

The ideal

Writers insert a [1] in their text, making it a link to a footnote at the bottom of the page.

But we see that the <a class=encyclopedia href="#1"> doesn't work. What to do?

Any thoughts?

Internal linking

This is a problem with internal linking. Some long entries need an index to sub-parts, as the How does one edit a page page does.


1. The first footnote. From here, we link to the article we want the viewer to go to.
