Single male whiskey is a whiskey which comes from one distillery, drawn from the same batch when bottled. In other words, it contains only one type of whiskey, of a single age.
Most quality whiskeys (Scotch for example) are Single Malt whiskeys; anything else is referred to as a Blend.
