Wevelgem is a municipality located in the Belgian province of West Flanders. The municipality comprises the towns of Gullegem[?], Moorsele[?] and Wevelgem proper. On January 1st, 2000 Wevelgem had a total population of 31,374 (15,645 males and 15,729 females). The total area is 39.08 km² which gives a population density of 802.81 inhabitants per km².
