West Glens Falls is a town located in Warren County, New York. As of the 2000 census, the town had a total population of 6,721.

Geography West Glens Falls is located at 43°18'33" North, 73°40'53" West (43.309056, -73.681366)1.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 12.3 km² (4.8 mi²). 12.0 km² (4.6 mi²) of it is land and 0.3 km² (0.1 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 2.32% water.

Demographics As of the census of 2000, there are 6,721 people, 2,487 households, and 1,845 families residing in the town. The population density is 559.3/km² (1,447.0/mi²). There are 2,653 housing units at an average density of 220.8/km² (571.2/mi²). The racial makeup of the town is 97.95% White, 0.42% African American, 0.27% Native American, 0.25% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.22% from other races, and 0.89% from two or more races. 1.00% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There are 2,487 households out of which 37.7% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 57.1% are married couples living together, 11.9% have a female householder with no husband present, and 25.8% are non-families. 19.5% of all households are made up of individuals and 7.7% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.65 and the average family size is 3.03.

In the town the population is spread out with 27.1% under the age of 18, 6.7% from 18 to 24, 31.8% from 25 to 44, 21.7% from 45 to 64, and 12.6% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 36 years. For every 100 females there are 92.5 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 91.0 males.

The median income for a household in the town is $44,072, and the median income for a family is $45,205. Males have a median income of $35,546 versus $22,300 for females. The per capita income for the town is $19,054. 6.1% of the population and 4.0% of families are below the poverty line. Out of the total people living in poverty, 8.7% are under the age of 18 and 1.4% are 65 or older.
