Geography According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 188.1 km² (72.6 mi²). 60.1 km² (23.2 mi²) of it is land and 128.0 km² (49.4 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 68.05% water.

Demographics As of the census of 2000, there are 262 people, 128 households, and 88 families residing in the township. The population density is 4.4/km² (11.3/mi²). There are 287 housing units at an average density of 4.8/km² (12.4/mi²). The racial makeup of the township is 97.33% White, 0.00% African American, 1.53% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.38% from other races, and 0.76% from two or more races. 0.76% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There are 128 households out of which 10.9% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 59.4% are married couples living together, 7.8% have a female householder with no husband present, and 31.3% are non-families. 26.6% of all households are made up of individuals and 10.9% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older.
