Waterloo is a major train station located in the Waterloo district of London, which was itself named after the Battle of Waterloo. It forms part of a large transport complex, which includes:

The station is linked by connecting elevated walkways to the London Eye. The matching footbridges crossing the River Thames next to the rail bridge to Charing Cross station were rebuilt in 2002 and are called Hungerford Bridge. (There had previously been a single bridge on the eastern side of the rail bridge; this was replaced by two wider suspension bridges, one on each side.)
