Virtual circuit capability

In telecommunication, a virtual circuit capability is a network-provided service feature in which a user is provided with a virtual circuit.

Virtual circuit capability is not necessarily limited to packet mode[?] transmission. For example, an analog signal may be converted to a digital signal and then routed over the network via any available route.
