Victor Borge

Victor Borge (January 3, 1909 - December 23, 2000) was born in Copenhagen, Denmark as Børge Rosenbaum and died in Greenwich, Connecticut, USA.

Affectionately known as "the Great Dane", he was not only an unequaled humorist and entertainer but also a world class pianist. After having escaped from the Nazi occupation of Denmark in the second world war he went on to become one of the most popular entertainers in USA. His act, Comedy in Music, is the longest standing one man show ever.
