I was born and brought up in England, emigrating to New Zealand in the 1960s. I have recently retired as emeritus Professor of Operations Research at Victoria University of Wellington with professional interests in Bayesian probability methods and amateur interests in Roman archaeology.

I am a Skeptic and a Bright.
