User:Rethunk

I am an American man thirty-one years of age.

By profession I am an engineer working in machine vision. Machine vision is a twin to computer vision, the academic study of "making computers see." I've worked in the field for seven years.

My interests outside of work include fiction writing, philosophy, etymology, jazz, billiards/pool/snooker, and being a beer snob. I also hope to one day find a pair of ideally comfortable shoes.

At the university I completed degrees in physics and German. (Falls Sie lieber deutsch sprechen . . .)

Here on Wikipedia I look to edit articles related to my interests, and I spend some time de-stubbifying stubs. Though my German is not what it once was, I plan to write occasionally on the German-language site, also under the user name "Rethunk".

Here's a quick list of articles for which I've written first drafts.
