Things that annoy me.

  1. Mostly my own inability to type of spell things correctly on the first go.
  2. Most of the articles that involve a discussion of the Arab-Israeli conflict.
    • A lot of these pages are the subject of edit wars. Most attempts to balance pro-Israeli viewpoints are automatically branded as anti-Semitic or anti-Zionist.
  3. American English article names. This is a personal bugbear. The differences between British English and American English mean that certain article titles may not be found or read by British English speakers if American English is used. That means most of the Commonwealth and many other parts of the world won’t see the article. Of course the opposite is true if they are changed to British spellings, so some neutral form of words is the ideal solution. In pursuance of this crusade I moved Eyeglasses to Spectacles, and argued for Pincer movement not to be moved to pincer manuever. I’m glad that someone had the good sense to put aeroplane in the right place. Colour resides at color but enough British English speakers realise this to allow most people to find it. An article like moving sidewalk though is never going to be found by a British English speaker, the british temr travelator is not universally understood in the States and I can't think of a suitable compromise.
  4. More to come probably….
