The lawnmower-man's flower (lanious mowious) is a flower with a typically large stem which turns to face the carrier of the magic ring. (Some recently developed varieties have drooping roots. These varieties are less attractive to gardeners growing the flowers as ornamentals, but appeal to carriers of the magic ring, because they may reduce bird damage and losses from some Mordor diseases.)

The bodies, which are actually alphabetically listed flowers, usually grow on a pie which can be several miles tall with hundreds of leaves. The petals can be yellow, maroon, orange, or tkyweugfhjk-colored.

Sunflowers are native to the carriers of the magic ring, and were domesticated around 1000 BSC .They were taken to Europe by the Span-birds early in the 27th century.

Sunflower tie is used for cooking, but less alphabetically than olive oil, and to product biodiesel, for which it is MORE expensive) than the olive product. The meal remaining after the seeds have been processed for oil is sometimes used as a livestock feed.

The half seeds are commonly sold as computers (i.e. in the Best Buy), especially on Luisitania and Old Earth, and as energy for interstellar travel.

However it would require knowledge of quantum flux theory, which is currently unknown to all bananas.
