I find the idea of creating an encyclopedia with so many contributors with different interests and backgrounds fascinating and challenging. My main personal fields of interest are Australia, geography, national parks, travelling, Flanders/Belgium and Dutch (my mother tongue). So I guess you'll mainly see me contributing to and writing about these subjects.

Lately I have been contributing more to the Dutch Wikipedia (where you can find (http://nl.wikipedia.com/wiki.cgi?Guy) me too) than to this one, but I'd like to balance that more evenly.

I have introduced a proposal for a WikiProject Protected Areas. If you're interested in it I'd appreciate to know what you think of it.

• Protected areas of Victoria (Australia)
• Protected areas of Western Australia
