Born March 11, a student in Space and Communication Sciences (glorified academic-speak for 'satellites and stuff') at York University in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He has a sporadically updated, mostly useless and not-as-well-written Livejournal.

Blacklite has been known by this name since mid-2000, having chosen it for the name of a character on LambdaMOO. He is known for having (sometimes incredibly) diverse interests including physics, guitar, flying, cycling, acting, travel, computer programming, reading, writing and a large a number of things that end in 'ology'.

He aspires to travel to another planet, but currently is thinking of settling for journalism. Some of his current favorite authors are Hunter S. Thompson, Neal Stephenson and Robert Heinlein, mostly due to the pressure of his friends to read both authors' very good works. Although he isn't into politics much himself, he also rather admires Pierre Elliott Trudeau.

He would suggest Fight Club, Moulin Rouge, American Beauty, Reservoir Dogs[?], and Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas as things that you need to watch; certain compositions of The Smashing Pumpkins, The Beatles, and Beethoven as things you really ought to listen to; and Time Enough For Love (Heinlein) as something you really have to read.

Mostly, he just enjoys having a good time.
