USS Mustin (DD-413)

The first USS Mustin (DD-413), a Sims-class destroyer[?] named in honor of the Mustin family, was commissioned in 1938 and earned thirteen battle stars for World War II service that included the battles of Santa Cruz and Guadalcanal and major amphibious operations in the Pacific.

In 1946 she took part in Operation Crossroads, the atomic tests at Bikini. She was decommissioned 29 August 1946, and was destroyed by gunfire 18 April 1948 in the Marshall Islands.
