USS Hawaii

Two ships of the United States Navy have been named USS Hawaii in honor of the 50th state.

The first USS Hawaii (CB-3), the third Alaska-class cruiser[?], was launched, but never commissioned.

The second USS Hawaii (SSN-776)[?] will be the third Virginia-class submarine if she is commissioned as expected in 2007.
