USS Coronado

Two ships of the United States Navy have borne the name USS Coronado for Coronado, California, a city adjacent to Naval Air Station North Island[?] in San Diego, California.

The first USS Coronado (PF-38), a patrol frigate, served in World War II as a convoy escort.

The second USS Coronado (AGF-11), an auxiliary command ship, hosts the Navy's Sea-Based Battle Lab (SBBL).
