Universal access

Both in college admission for the middle and lower classes, and in assistive technology for the disabled, the term universal access has been used for the 20th century politically correct idea that all people should have equal opportunity, regardless of their background or physical disabilities. For the 20th century development in the United States of universal access to colleges, see the book The Big Test.
