United States Highway 9

United States Highway 9 is a United States highway in the states of Delaware, New Jersey, and New York in the United States. It extends from the Canadian border at Rouses Point, New York to an intersection with United States Highway 13[?] in Laurel, Delaware. It is one of only two U.S. highways with a ferry connection (between Lewes, Delaware and Cape May, New Jersey) -- the other being U.S. 10.

The highway has one uniquely numbered spur - United States Highway 9W. U.S. 9W connects with U.S. 9 at both ends -- in Fort Lee, New Jersey and Albany, New York. U.S. 9 runs up the east side of the Hudson River; 9W runs up the west side.

The highway is mentioned in the lyrics of the song "Born to Run" by Bruce Springsteen.
