Ummah

Ummah (indefinite), or Al-Ummah (definite): Ummah means "community", Al-Ummah means "the community". However, contrary to what a non-Arabic speaker might suppose, Ummah Al-Muhmini is "the community of the believers". In that case, because Ummah is the first term of a construct, it is definite.
