UFO conspiracy theory

The UFO conspiracy theory is a conspiracy theory in which the United States government is believed to have proof that UFOs are the result of alien visitation but is surpressing this information for nefarious purposes.

The UFO conspiracy theory has been expressed in fiction by the X-Files and the movies Men in Black and Independence Day.

Parts of the theory include Men in Black, Area 51, and Majestic 12.
