Tyne Tunnel

The Tyne Tunnel is a two-lane toll tunnel under the River Tyne, England which forms part of the A19. It joins Jarrow on the south side to Howdon[?] on the north.

The tunnel was completed in the late 1960s and is accompanied by a narrower pedestrian tunnel alongside it.
